The NASCAR Truck Series Championship has officially concluded with Sheldon Creed as the champion. However, the manner in which he won the race was truly spectacular.
With three laps to go, everything seemed like it could go anywhere. Brett Moffitt was leading, with Grant Enfinger tailing him, and Creed down in 9th and Zane Smith in 12th.
There was a massive gaggle of cars in the leading group, so when the race restarted, there was chaos. Earlier, there was a caution after Dawson Cram spun. Cars were going at least 6 or 7-wide into the turns.
Obviously, this shuffled the entire Top-10, and the lead changed hands during the penultimate lap. However, it changed yet again, and Creed came from almost nowhere to snatch the lead in the final lap.
Rookie driver Zane Smith tried to be clever and opted to run on the bottom of the track. However, Creed held firm and managed to build a gap, and stormed away to win the race. While Sheldon Creed took the chequered flag, Zane Smith finished in an impressive 2nd place. Read from source….
